The two wheels prevent twisting and strain on the skid tubes while also applying equal pressure to both sides of the skid tube while raising and lowering the aircraft.

The hydraulic wheels also include a simple carrying method that makes it easy to transfer them around. The same lever used to inflate the wheels may also be used to move them.
